5 GREAT APPS FOR WORKING REMOTELY AND MANAGING TEAM

Companies that find it non-negotiable for employees to work from home have been terrified when the lockdown order became inevitable. This is because they never listened to that advice – ‘allow your employees once in a while to work remotely and evaluate them’. But all hope is not lost. These companies can take advantage of the following apps that encourage remote meetings, file sharing/edit, progress report, content tracking, team management, etc, without encroaching on the personal WhatsApp life of employees. Here are 5 great apps for working remotely and managing teams.

  1. Microsoft Teams

This is available both on desktop and on phone. It is quite easy and flexible. In fact, via invitation (Microsoft calendar or Microsoft email) employees can simply click and join. They could even download the app if they choose to. It is super cool with office 365 if you already have it and do not require extra cost. You can Meet with teams of 10 or 10,000, host audio, video, and web conferences with anyone inside or outside your organization or go big with live events and manage projects and team and files. Simply click on the link above and begin.

  1. Asana

Oh, my Asana! I love this baby and we’ve come a long way. It comes with payment but has a free one month trial after which you may cancel your payment option. But that is where the trick is – once you start using Asana, you don’t want to leave it. It is like the great Donna Paulsen, and gives you the fly of Harvey Specter. It arranges your created projects/tasks, reminds you and your team what needs to be done, whose task is outstanding, what new task or follow up has been assigned, who is dragging the team down, powerful screen view of the evidence and etc. And did I tell you Asana integrates with the tools you already use? Do you feel me?

  1. Trello

This App is seriously competing with Asana. It manages projects, sales progress team and trip, etc. It enables the power to take a holistic glance at projects. Through its Kaban it allows publishing, learning of new language for team members, etc. Through Trello either business class or normal, all projects and teams can be monitored. Don’t ask me if I will dish it for my baby.

  1. Slack

Slack is best known for its conversations. Team members can speak to each other, share and edit files, and have different and personal conversation blocks with a closer teammate, etc. Why stuck up employees on their personal WhatsApp? What da f… Why take away one’s personal private life due to ignorance of the existence of working-family conversational apps like Slack. Well, we forgive companies who didn’t know before now.

  1. Jira

Oh, my belly! Who made this smart software? It is a wonderful software tool used for tracking issues and projects and holding a team responsible. You can assign tasks, plan tasks, report work is done, and track tasks, and even discuss with complete visibility. And yes, it integrates with the tools you already use. Software teams, technical writers, marketing agencies, et al, usually find this app a great tool for working remotely.

Conclusion

NB: This is not a paid content.

My Mama would say there are faith, hope and love, but the greatest of these is love. I will say there is Trello, Jira and Asana, but the greatest of these is ….

  1. I can pick you love Asana so much, lol. Nice thought, I have been struggling with my team via WhatsApp and I think they do not like the intrusion of privacy, neither do I.
