Pay attention to your social media now, you may be losing Leads.
It’s the 21st century and the world has become even smaller because of social media. Currently, most brands and businesses are first accessed through their social media pages and the impression received, determines a lot on whether the reader will be converted to a lead. As a business/brand with a lot of followers or not, it is very important because it increases future customers.
Most times it is easy to believe that all there is to social media is the posting of products. This is a very wrong and detrimental attitude because not only does it harm the brand image, it shows a form of incompetence. There are –
a few ways to keep and convert leads
1)Value showing:
Posting a product is a type of marketing and that means the value must be seen too. This is done using the caption attached to the post. This is applicable both for Facebook, Twitter, IG and Tiktok. You lose leads when they can’t see the value in your product. And the value is not your value, but the value to the customers.
2)Empathy:
This is a great tool for marketing. The mistake most make is to forget that there are humans on the social media. Watch big brands like Facebook or Toyota or Fenti, they use empathic stories to increase their leads who in turn become ardent customers.
For example, currently, in Nigeria there is a trend called #ENDSARS, due to the situation there, a brand especially indigenous one would gain more loyalty by showing its concern. Empathy is all about how the product connects emotionally with the buyer.
3) Engage the audience:
This is a very much overlooked tool to keep and convert leads to customers. There are different ways to engage the audience. Some of them include; replying your comments in your post or blog, replying emails from your email list, running polls for an opinion on what the audience needs from your products or services, video-based content that responds to daily questions as regards your product or services, or even provoking a discussion relating your product to the #ENDSARS campaign, et al.
3)Aesthetics:
In the world today, many people are attracted to beautiful designs as an ant to sugar. It’s important to look at the aesthetic (design and colours) of the social media pages. This is only exempted in text-based medias like Twitter. Even now, Twitter allows pics via links.
When all these are done you would have a brand with not just an audience, but loyal ones. But you must also know the time by which to post content.
Finally, social media can make or mar your brand image and while some brands have in-house skilled operators, it is advised to get social media managers who are trained for this purpose. Let me know your thought below.
